| Abstract: | The article deals with the problems of the development of psychoanalysis in modem American criticism. The school of thought under analysis tends to overcome the limits of “classical" Freud’s approach to literature by applying the method of reader- response criticism when analyzing a literary work and readers' perception of it. |
