Abstract: Basing on the use of qualitative analysis elements of kinetic generation model the estimation of conditions of realization of self-modulation mode of contrast regular pulsations with rather low average intensity in VCSEL is carried out. The active element and the system of a feedback in the laser considered are forming a planar micro-resonator structure of thin layers of medium with essential difference of relaxation parameters describing the substance response to resonant light field.
