Abstract

An attempt has been made to systematize the author’s editorial experience and the views of researchers on the culture of the educational publication on the Belarusian language. The differences between the concepts of ‘book culture’ and ‘culture of the book’ are established. The problems of preparing electronic educational publications, the expediency of their creation and the preservation of copyright are outlined. The relevant components of the educational book are noted: the choice of repertoire, the level of implementation of editorial and publishing processes, creative application of standards, artistic and technical design of the publication. It is concluded that the culture of the Belarusian educational book is an important indicator of the culture of modern society. In order to preserve the traditions of national book printing, it is important to study the experience of predecessors.
