Abstract: International cooperation of Ukrainian higher learning institutions by means of TEMPUS program is the matter of research in this article. Aspiration of modern universities to be integrated into international educational community finds the real embodiment by means of participating in realization of international educational and scientific programs and projects, founded and financed by the European Union and other international organizations and funds. Appearance of many international programs and projects in educational space of Ukraine in the last twenty years have contributed to activation of development of international connections and real collaboration in the field of higher education and science, have stimulated reformation of higher education system on the whole. One of such programs is the program TEMPUS, participating in realization of which opens wide horizons for international cooperation of higher learning institutions, contributes to speeding up of modernization and reformation of national higher school. The aim of the article is: analysis of participation of the Ukrainian universities, in particular of Kyiv, in the TEMPUS program; finding out of this program importance for innovative development of higher learning institutions, integration into international educational space. At preparation of the article we followed the scientific methods of cognition, as well as historical methods. Analysis of participating of the Ukrainian higher learning institutions in realization of international programs and projects succeeded due to the use of methods of search, analysis and synthesis of empirical material.
