| Abstract: | Gender-aspect (hipponymic) relations between the meanings of the nouns in the Belarusian language are analyzed in this article; the essence of intraword (internal) hipponymy its difference from metonymy and metaphor being. Peculiarities of hipponymic relations in the nouns of literary language have been compared to those of dialectal language. |
