| Abstract: | The paper provides the analysis of different approaches to define the notion of “a region". Specifying every approach the author comes to the conclusion that there is no universal definition of this notion, while examining the main system features of regions and using the synthesis of ideas and methods of different sciences enables to distinguish an integral approach to the problem. Particular attention is paid to the notion of “a region" in the political context, the notion of ‘political region" being introduced. |
